NEW DATES - 10th, 11th, 12th JULY

We know this news will be disappointing for many visitors and exhibitors, and we want to explain why this decision has been made.

The Sunshine Coast Expo is unlike a typical event.

Before the gates open, we need to move dozens of tiny homes, modular buildings, display structures, trucks, cranes, forklifts and heavy equipment across the venue grounds during bump-in. The success of the event depends on the site being capable of safely supporting these operations.

Over recent weeks, the venue has experienced significant rainfall and the grounds remain heavily saturated. 

Current forecasts indicate ongoing light rainfall leading up to bump-in.

IMPORTANTLY - THIS DECISION IS NOT BASED ON THE WEATHER FORECAST DURING THE EVENT WEEKEND ITSELF 

We are aware that the forecast for 19-21 June looks much better - but it is the preceding weather that effects the grounds

The challenge is whether the site can safely support the heavy vehicles and equipment required to build the event before it opens.

In addition, overflow visitor parking is planned on neighbouring school sports fields. The school has advised that these grounds cannot be used unless conditions improve sufficiently, as hundreds of vehicles each day could cause extensive damage to the playing surfaces.

If we proceeded under current conditions, we risk visitors turning up to a muddy swamp, with no parking! 

Rather than take that risk, we have chosen to postpone the event by three weeks to allow the site additional time to dry and recover.

Friday 10 July – Sunday 12 July 2026

All tickets remain valid for the new dates.

We appreciate that many people have already made arrangements, leave from work and travel plans. 

We genuinely regret the inconvenience this causes and did not make this decision lightly.

Our responsibility is to ensure that when visitors arrive, the event can operate safely, efficiently and provide the experience that everyone expects.
