Be aware that we update our FAQs very regularly so the information is up to date.
Worried about the grounds turning muddy with rain earlier this week - we have shifted to tarmac on the WAGTAIL WAY grounds - right next to the MAIN ENTRANCE of EPIC - PARKING ACROSS THE ROAD AT FLEMINGTON. (Flemington Road).
Light Rail stop is directly at the entrance. Entrance to the expo is 10m left of the Main Entrance on Flemington Road.
ATTENDEES - please see CONDITIONS OF ENTRY prior to entering a Tiny Home Expo.
Being steady on your feet for small spaces, steps, and steeper than normal stairs is a requirement.
Please be aware that the opening times on FRIDAY is different to Sat/Sun (which is 9am - 5pm). Arriving super early and hassling the ticket staff to get in outside of these times is really counter-productive for us as we try to get ready to open the gates.
WHERE: Next to Main Entrance, Flemington Road
Parking across the road at FLEMINGTON
(NOTE: some sites will pick up Budawang as a default address for the Epic Park. It is NOT in the Budawang Pavilion). It is on tarmac area in case of rain.
Direct Ticket Link: CANBERRA TICKETS

Sat ALL Day $35 / Sat from 1pm $20

Ticketing of events is a crucial element to a successful show. We have staggered the event arrival times because we know that traditionally show attendance produce huge amounts of people arriving and staying between the 10am-1pm period.
This creates long lines and queues into tiny homes at these times, and a disproportionately quiet late afternoon.
The queues result in complaints and people feeling disparaged.
By making this timeframe a little more expensive, we aim to flatten out the spike in attendance and be a lot more even across the day.
This also gives those that are having a serious look to get inside and up stairs, and be able to open all the cupboards and engage with the builder with their questions.
The ticketing price is attractive to someone researching Tiny Homes, wanting to see speakers, presenters, and investigate off grid elements - and we understand that not everyone feels it is affordable for them.
Our aim is to provide value for those who are thoroughly researching the Tiny Home movement.
WHY NOT FREE TICKETS? If the event were free, we estimate in excess of 25,000 people would rock up 'for a look', and the event would simply implode under its own popularity.
Imagine queuing for hours and hours to view each house!
VISIT HOUSES FOR FREE INSTEAD: If you just want to peek inside cute houses, we recommend visiting a builder's showroom - which is free. This event is a far more holistic experience - themed around expert information and people that live and breathe tiny house living.
There is a "switching ticket" feature on the Eventbrite portal where you bought your ticket.
Find your order confirmation and log in to EventBrite
• Go to "tickets"
• Select your order

• Enter Information and place order.
Ticketing Help: email @jadie@tinyhomesexpo.com.au
Our ticketing staff will also switch your ticket for you at the gate.
We are a child friendly event, however we do not specifically incorporate children's entertainment. We do not charge for children 16yrs and under, they do not require a ticket, they come in on the accompanying adult ticket.
Please be aware that small children like to climb the ladders in the houses - and in most houses this is a safety issue. Please help by ensuring children are not left to climb ladders and stairs unsupervised.
Our event is structured to stop huge queues, over-crowding and hour long waits to view inside tiny houses. We do not offer any pension discounts, senior discounts, family passes (Children are free anyway) etc. We understand that this is disappointing.
If you have a Disability Companion Card, these are honoured. Simply bring your card to the gate - there is no need for an online ticket.
If you are having trouble finding your tickets - we have a system at the gate where the staff can look you up and get you scanned in - do not worry. (We are aware that Eventbrite has changed their system and is not automatically sending out the physical ticket with the confirmation email, and the confusion this can bring. We are imploring that Eventbrite change this!)
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT OUT YOUR TICKET, WE CAN SCAN FROM YOUR PHONE
As an outdoor event, we would love you to bring your dog - some builders may ask that they are not taken in to houses (especially if the grounds are wet/muddy from rain)
IF you do bring your dog, please ensure you bring materials to deal with doggy-accidents immediately, and obviously they are expected to be kept on a leash.
Some dogs can feel very anxious in a crowd with other dogs - keep that in mind and ensure that your dog is comfortable and not feeling threatened, which could result in aggression - particularly towards other dogs.
Please think carefully about this, and help us keep the expo open to 4 paw friends.
We aim for great variety and every expo has a different 'house count' with the Brisbane Expo leading the board for the most houses.
Small regional shows, such as Maitland, Maryborough, Toowoomba, Geelong, will have 30+ houses.
Sydney and Vic are between 40 and 55 houses.
Canberra is a 'first ever' show and will start with 25+ houses.
Adelaide has the least amount of local builders in the country, so we rely on out of state builders to travel to the expo. - NOTE: if you are buying a house, the savings on freight fees if you buy at the expo is up to $10,000 !
Speaker topics are:

We do NOT provide exhibitor lists by email / facebook message.
Full food court (great variety and some healthy options) will be available
- we have found that mobile vendors can not always guarantee nut-free/gluten free 100% - so if you have a severe allergy, keep this in mind, and we are happy if you bring your own food.
Nearly every (but not all), Tiny Home on wheels has steps, and are not suited to wheelchair access, and are also limited to 2.4m wide to be on the road. (and we're sorry about that).
Expos are also generally overwhelming for Autistic and Spectrum patrons.
Builders of tiny homes will 100% custom a house to your needs - even including space for an assistance dog, wider homes for wheelchair users, and soft close doors (quiet houses) for the sensitivity overwhelm.
There are Low-Tox houses, and many single level...
However - it is rare that an example is ready for display at an Expo.
- so do come speak to them and ask for a private viewing - they can achieve anything you need - it's just not likely that a display is freely available that can demonstrate a disabled friendly version. (Ramps might need an additional truck and tow, and builders simply are so busy that few have 'spare displays' at all!)
The event is on hard and grass surfaces, and mainly flat ground for getting around - the insides of houses can be tight and with some steep stairs.
Please come to the ticket desk with Government issued disability card and Companion Cards (free) for entry. You do NOT require an online ticket.
We are an Outdoor Event. Bring a Hat, Sunscreen, and/or umbrella if rain is forecast. Keep in mind, it might be raining where you are, but not raining at the Showgrounds where we are operating!
Often, when it is raining, the builders may ask you to slip off your shoes for entering the house. Keep this in mind.
WE DO NOT CANCEL DUE TO RAIN unless it is positively dangerous for patrons.
We have a Facebook Event Page for every expo, and post all the exhibitors links, photos, up to date information, speakers, weather reports - even video as the houses arrive! ...
If you click INTERESTED in an event page, you receive the information to your timeline. Alternatively, you can scroll UNDER THE DISCUSSION BAR, all the posts relating to that expo.

Sure! Here's some general information - CLICK HERE or just contact us.
The very fact that we are talking daily with builders, and people that buy tiny houses, and councils that make policy for them, makes us the perfect information hub on the marketplace, the industry and where councils/government are looking at going with this constantly rising way of living. We also have market-stalls and peripheral exhibitors that align well with the industry.
Food/Coffee/Drinks: please see: FOOD VENDORS PAGE
Not for profit / Charity - please contact us, we will work with you to help as best we can.
We have venues and infrastructure all ready for these areas, but simply can not go ahead without the local builders getting onboard. The builders benefit so much (this event is a huge boost to advocacy efforts for starters). Until builders in these areas connect with us (or just reply to an email!) - we can not launch in these areas. Tell your local builders that you want an expo to come! See here: Other venues in our sights
We are a very informative event and the subject of Tiny Homes is a hit with school educators.
However, we are seeing schools take advantage of the Free ticketing for 16yrs and under, and groups of 100 children arriving that impacts our event immensely.
This is a commercial event - builders and other paying visitors have expectations - and our entire event is prepped for REDUCING over-crowding. For this reason, a school must register that they are arriving - and permission given in writing for any school group, which can not exceed 25 at any given time. We hope in the future that we can set up an 'educating hour' or something that delivers some value for a school program - this will need much insight and a thoughtful process for us to manage logistically.
We hope that schools understand, and we are always happy to recommend good resources to any educators looking to discover people that can help with educational programs.
