Tiny Homes Expo is not necessarily all about queuing up to peek inside houses in a quick rush to see interior design, there is SO much more. Speakers, Off Grid, presentations, experts...
If you wish to just see inside lots of houses for design ideas, you can visit a Tiny House Builder in your area - for free - or catch a youtube channel.
There is no other event that features as many houses (THOWS)and such a diverse range of buildings from cabins, little domes and backyard offices, quintessential Tiny Homes on Wheels, to modern modulars and container homes, Tiny homes with upper bedrooms, single story bedrooms, and big domes too! There are approx 30+ at all the expos - consider that bad weather and soft grounds may inhibit some of the larger constructions.
Fridays - YES, we find Fridays are less busy.
Saturday / Sunday - MAYBE!
Good Weather, or sudden promotion can surge ticket sales and we cease ticket sales on the spot.
If you are travelling far and would be unhappy to be turned around - buy online in advance.
Redcliffe this year achieved just 20 tickets from Sold Out on Saturday!
There is a STAGGERED ENTRY SYSTEM
- Arrive Before 1pm ($35) you can stay all day
- or arrive After 1pm ($25)
Tickets online are available from these links.

Ticketing of events is a crucial element to a successful show. We have staggered the event arrival times because we know that huge amounts of people arrive and stay between the 10am-1pm period.
This creates long, long lines and queues into tiny homes at these times, and a disproportionately quiet afternoon.
The queues result in complaints and people feeling disparaged.
By making this timeframe a little more expensive, we aim to flatten out the spike in attendance and be a lot more even across the day.
The ticketing price is attractive to someone researching Tiny Homes, wanting to see speakers, presenters, and investigate off grid elements - and we understand that not everyone feels it is affordable for them. Our aim is to provide value for those who are thoroughly researching the Tiny Home movement.
WHY NOT FREE TICKETS? If the event were free, we estimate in excess of 25,000 people would rock up 'for a look', and the event would literally implode under its own popularity.
Imagine queuing for 4 hours to view each house!
VISIT HOUSES FOR FREE INSTEAD: If you just want to peek inside cute houses, we recommend visiting a builder's showroom - which is free. This event is a far more holistic experience.
Visit for the right reasons: We feel those that come with the only expectation being to see a massive amount of houses for interior design ideas, seem to be disappointed (it's not an interior design show).
The expo has the highest amount of tiny houses in one place in Australia and a huge amount of experts on site - there is no other event that offers such a comprehensive insight into Tiny Houses.
Posting on our Facebook comments that the prices are too expensive, only shows us that you have done very little research into the event, and not read the information provided on our posts, ticketing information and website.
We are a child friendly event, however we do not specifically incorporate children's entertainment. Note: we do not charge for children under 16, they do not require a ticket.
As an outdoor event, we would love you to bring your dog - however, generally, many builders ask that they are not taken inside the Tiny Houses. IF you do, please ensure you bring materials to deal with doggy-accidents immediately, and obviously they are expected to be kept on a leash. Some dogs can feel very anxious in a crowd with other dogs - keep that in mind and ensure that your dog is comfortable and not feeling threatened which can result in aggression.
You need to contact via your order email, and request a swap PRIOR TO THE EVENT. From your order, hit the Contact Organiser button for a switch / or email jadie@tinyhomesexpo.com.au - if you want to change from just PM to AM - just ask the admin staff at gate to upgrade your ticket for $10.
YES: in NSW you can use your $25 Dine and Explore voucher directly in the Humanitix ticketing payment section.
(Please note Vouchers are not refundable per NSW Gov terms and conditions - (we actually have no method available to us to refund the tickets) .
NSW Discovery vouchers are not available on the EventBrite ticketing portal - it is USA based)
WE CAN NOT REDEEM VOUCHERS AT THE GATE - ONLINE TICKETS ONLY
In Victoria - you need to send your tickets and any accommodation for reimbursement from VIC Gov after the event.
In QLD we have not been notified of a similar scheme as yet.
The ticketing portal will often disable anyone trying to buy a ticket online on the morning of the event. This is due to the high volumes of people that wait until morning of the event to buy a ticket and the ticket sales surge, causing issues with the portal and errors that result in 'double buying'.
From our perspective... event organisers are meant to guess how many people are coming to events in order to cater for staff, parking, food, even the number of toilet rolls.... yet those that book last minute or just rock up at the gate, are quick to complain if we are not perfectly prepared!
Buying online in advance makes sense for everyone.
Disabled patrons and their caregivers (with companion cards), do not need to buy a ticket. Nearly every (but not all), Tiny Home has steps and are not suited to wheelchair access (and we're sorry about that). Expos are also generally overwhelming for Autistic and Spectrum patrons. Builders of tiny homes will 100% custom a house to your needs - even including space for an assistance dog - so do come speak to them and ask for a private viewing - they can achieve anything you need. The event is on hard and grass surfaces, and mainly flat ground for getting around. Please come to the ticket desk with Government issued disability card and Companion Cards for entry.
If Lockdown /Covid19 outbreaks threaten the event - we may postpone - and find new dates. If this is the case, you will be offered to keep your ticket for the new dates - or request a REFUND. As long as the refund is BEFORE the new dates so we can resell your ticket.
Vaccination status - it appears that these government requirements to provide vaccinated status in order to attend public outings has now ceased in all states that we hold an event.
We have a Covid Safe page here. If Covid outbreaks are in the area, you are welcome to wear a mask (it is not forced) - research shows that outdoor infection is less likely. There is hand sanitiser on site.
We do not give out lists of exhibitors via email or messages.
Every exhibitor is featured in our A4 Magazine - handed to you upon entry to take home.
Exhibitors also feature on our Facebook Events pages under the Discussion Bar - It is simple to scroll through and see exhibitors posts - especially in the week of the expo.
If you are coming to the Expo to see a particular exhibitor and would not care to see others, it would be a good idea to contact that exhibitor direct to ensure that particular company will be at the expo.
