TICKETS TO BRISBANE TINY HOME EXPO - bought prior to the postponement:
YOUR TICKET FOR AUGUST WILL SCAN FOR THE OCTOBER EVENT. There is no need for a new ticket. If you can not make the new dates, you can request a refund.
We aim for an absolute minimum of 17 - 30+ display homes. The exact amount is dependant on exhibitors who go to mighty lengths to get them to the venue and organise staff to assist you. Some exhibitors from over the border in NSW and Victoria may well have problems arriving due to the restrictions - we are replacing them as best as we can.
Every Speaker appears in BOTH the AM and the PM session. You do not need to plan your arrival time around speaker schedules. If we HAD to change a time due to any assorted array of reasons, we do not want people anguished that they missed something...There are 20min, 30min and full one hour Speakers and presenters - ALL DAY LONG. You will not miss a single thing if you arrive at either of the ticket sessions and go to the Speaker Auditorium where a sign is displayed. Our Facebook page has Bio information on all Speakers and presenters - published as we get nearer to the event. We can not emphasis enough how handy it is to click INTERESTED or GOING from the event pages on Facebook to get information delivered to your newsfeed.
Yes you can - but it is not recommended between our busiest times (8am - 11am). If capacity is met, you will not be granted entry. Buying tickets online means Scan & Go straight in! However, if you are making a last-minute decision, or have had problems buying online tickets, please feel free to come to our ticket office. If you are worried about a ticket online - If the event is cancelled or postponed, HUMANITIX or EVENTBRITE will refund your ticket.

Ticketing of events is a crucial element to a successful show. We have staggered the event arrival times because we know that huge amounts of people arrive and stay between the 10am-1pm period. This creates long, long lines and queues into tiny homes, and everyone gets a little disparaged.
By making this timeframe a little more expensive, we hope to flatten out the spike in attendance to be a bit more even across the day.
If you came for the morning or the afternoon session, you will see the same houses, the same stalls and the same speakers / demos and Q+A sessions.
People who arrive in the morning, are welcome to stay all day.
So if you are thoroughly researching your tiny house purchase, we recommend coming for a longer time to pick the knowledge pool in every corner... others may want to come for a nice browse instead.
WHY NOT FREE TICKETS? If the event were free, we estimate in excess of 25,000 people would rock up 'for a look', and the event would literally implode under its own popularity. Imagine queuing for 4 hours to view each house! Our aim is to keep crowding under control for both the above reasons and for our ability to run an event under Covid restrictions.
We are child friendly event, however we do not specifically incorporate children's entertainment. Note: we do not charge for children under 16, they do not require a ticket.
As an outdoor event, we would love you to bring your dog - however, generally, many builders ask that they are not taken inside the Tiny Houses, so we really do not recommend bringing them. IF you do, please ensure you bring materials to deal with doggy-accidents immediately, and obviously they are expected to be kept on a leash.
Yes - Tickets are for EITHER day - but not Both days.. If you wish to swap from PM to an AM ticket, we recommend asking for a refund and re-buying - or addressing this at the gate, simply because the ticketing portal does not seem to allow the upgrade easily.
This is difficult. We have set amounts of tickets for the morning session, and are unable to re-sell them. You can still arrive in the afternoon, but unfortunately, you will not receive a refund of the entry price difference of $10.00
Yes, please go to Humanitix / Eventbrite website and change the name on the ticket for Covid contact tracing purposes (imagine if there was an outbreak, and your were forced to quarantine on behalf of your friend!). These are just new times we are living in folks.
Disabled patrons and their caregivers (with companion cards), do not need to buy a ticket. Nearly every (but not all), Tiny Home has steps and are not suited to wheelchair access (and we're sorry about that). Expos are also generally overwhelming for Autistic and Spectrum patrons. Builders of tiny homes will 100% custom a house to your needs - even including space for an assistance doge - so do come speak to them and ask for a private viewing - they can achieve anything you need. Upon Request, from an exhibitor, the organisers will allow after-hours entry for people wanting to have a private and quiet meeting with an exhibitor (such is the case with some people with autism for instance). The event is on hard and grass surfaces, and mainly flat ground for getting around. Please come to the ticket desk with Government issued disability card and Companion Cards for complimentary entry.
We are fully aware that borders can close in an instant and events can be cancelled due to outbreaks with little notice. IF this event was effected by a Covid-19 directive, we would re-schedule at the earliest possible time at the same venue. If you could not make it to the event on the re-scheduled dates, your ticket price will be refunded prior to the commencement of the event (ie: you can not request a refund AFTER the event has been conducted).
Every exhibitor is featured in our Magazine - handed to you upon entry to take home. Exhibitors also feature on our Facebook Events pages under the Discussion Bar. We do not publish online or hand out lists of all our exhibitors prior to the event. Things change, exhibitors cancel, presenters change, new exhibitors book last minute. If you feel you want to come to see a particular exhibitor or presentation, you can message us for info on that particular exhibitor and we will help where we can. There are Tiny houses on wheels and skids, container homes, modular homes, a master builder cabin, shell homes to fit out yourself and even domes. There's teeny weeny ones, and incredibly large ones. Solar, lots of toilets and off grid stands, heating/stoves, market stalls and Consultants, Financing and Rules and Regs.
There is NO camping allowed at the Showgrounds - the council do not allow camping at their Showgrounds unfortunately. Local Motels and Hotels are aware of the Expos -
